I'm here to tell your story. The story of your special day, your professional image, your family's unique personality or what makes your organization a success.

If possible, I meet with my clients in person when planning a shoot. Whether you know exactly what you want or you are not sure what you are looking for, getting to know you will help us come up with a plan that meets your expectations and ensures the creation of something unique and valuable.

My Story

My name is Jouko van der Kruijssen. It's not the easiest name to remember or Google, which explains my choice to do business as Under the Fog.

I'm a professional photographer originally from the Netherlands, serving clients in the Bay Area since 2012. My style and approach to photographing people and telling their stories are heavily influenced by my experience as both a wildlife photographer and graphic designer. Using some of the same patience and stealth I use in the field and applying it to an event or session allows me to produce candid shots that look as if they were planned and posed.
